Right from the beginning there was stiff competition among the distributors to acquire its rights. Now there is news that Eros International has acquired all the rights of this film for a whooping price of Rs 84 Crores.
Bellamkonda Suresh has acquired the Telugu rights for Rs 17 Crores. Sony is going to acquire the audio rights for Rs 12 Crores. This is the highly paid price for the audio as far as Tamil film industry is concerned.The songs of Ayan which had the combination of Surya, K V Anand and Harris Jayaraj were great hits and because of this there are great expectations for the songs of Maatraan.It has been decided to release the audio CD of this film on 9th August in Singapore. 9th August is supposed to be the National Day of Singapore. It will be a government holiday. It has been decided to hold this function in a grand manner.
