As far as India concerned there are negative criticisms about Billa 2. There is information that this film did not do well like Ajith's earlier film Mankatha and in some places it did not collect even Rs 1 Crore.
As far as Malaysia is concerned Billa 2 has yielded good profits.
As per the official announcement, Billa 2 has done very well at the box office. The film Nanban which had Vijay in the lead role was released this year had collected Rs 4.86 Crores whereas Billa 2 has collected Rs 5 Crores in 20 days. Billa 2 has pushed back Nanban in Malaysia.
