Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya has begun work on her next, a period film called Kochadaiyaan. And the newest news is that Jackie Shroff is the actor who was roped in from Bollywood for the Tamil film.
"I am doing the film. I play the role of a raja (king). Beyond this I CAN'T say much," says Jackie, who was spotted at Vidhu Vinod Chopra's retrospective on Thursday.
The film also features Deepika Padukone, and can be released later this year in Telugu, English, Hindi and Japanese.
Talking about his experience of working with South superstar Rajinikanth, Jackie says, "It was excellent working with him. He's India's superstar... we had an ideal time."
Jackie and Rajini have earlier worked together in Subhash Ghai's Uttar Dakshin (1987).
