Mumbai, April 4 -- Actor Shah Rukh Khan will deliver a lecture on the prestigious Yale University on April 12 as its Chubb Fellow, an honour which previously was bestowed on heads of states and Noble prize winners.
The Chubb Fellowship is among Yale's highest honours. "Through his films and his philanthropy, the Chubb Fellowship noted that Khan was among his generation's most vital examples of the ability of art to advertise higher human ideals and aspirations," the university said.
Chubb Fellows spend their time at Yale in close, informal contact with students and deliver a public lecture. Former Chubb Fellows include President George W Bush, filmmaker Sofia Coppola and journalist Walter Cronkite.
