Mumbai, April 4 -- Actor Salman Khan's Being Human clothing line is gearing up for a world unveiling this month. "Around April 15, we will be able to launch the road in Dubai and it'll be available in over 100 stores around the United Arab Emirates. Next month, it'll come to Mumbai. Soon, not only at Cotton World, authentic Being Human merchandise that comes with tees, shirts, trousers, jeans and watches might be available around the city," promises the Bollywood star, who recently tied up with the web travel website, yatra.com, to assist his charity grow.
Pointing out that he is often asked how people can contribute to his initiative, Salman says that it's possible to make a token donation with every 'yatra' ( journey) they undertake. "By buying a ticket in this online portal, you make it possible for somebody who's not so privilege, to get a greater education or treatment for an illness," says Salman, whose merchandise may also be available at the travel website.
The proceeds from the entire sales go on to his foundation. "I NEED to take Being Human throughout the roof. Even supposing we will be able to run it as a business, the speculation isn't to regard it as one. Whatever money we make from it's going to return to the charity and the country," asserts Salman, before explaining why it's taking time to source the valuables and arrange the Being Human chain of cafes and restaurants that he has in mind. "IT MAY POSSIBLY only happen in partnership with like-minded individuals who handle people who are not so well to do".
Interestingly, Salman has begun this new association not only as a brand ambassador, but as a shareholder too. "IT IS EASY to endorse something, take your fee and walk away. But I THINK that should you support something, you eat it, wear it, get into it as an equal partner in order that in the event that they go down, you go down with them and vice versa," he points out.
In his new role, the actor is urging people to bypass travel agents and go for a self-service site that promises the most productive deals. "Money saved is money earned, and money spent is money used to maintain those, who need you to dream of a higher life," he says, admitting that he's carefully monitoring the responses to the brand new commercial featuring him. "If people like it, great. If not we will be able to always bring Boman Irani back to switch me."
