Sasikumar and Samithurakani are back together after their blockbuster Nadodigal . Though their earlier work Eesan didn't make much impact at the box office , they are very much confident about the success of Poraali.
1. Engirunthu (Chinmayee)
A pathos song with mesmerizing voice of Chinmayee which brings a haunting feel to the listeners. It's an absolute delight from Chinmayee with her voice modulation and high pitch humming.
2.Vedi PochuVel (Murugugan Thanjai Selvi)
Urumi and other folk instruments bring the folk feel to the beginning of this song , though makes striking resemblance to Vel murugan's earlier hit for Subramaniapurim. Then, the song slowly moves to Punjabi folk with fusion of folk sounds . Thanjai Selvi's voice delivers the country folk feel to the Punjabi rhythms.
3.Vegamaai-Adhivegamaai(Theme)
Instrumental theme songs have always clicked with tamil listeners.Sundar C Babu delivers energetic theme that makes us to visualize the kind of sequences that would be made for this song.
4.Yaar Ivan(Shankar Mahadevan)
There would be no better choice than Shankar Mahadevan to deliver this kind of heroism in the voice along with carnatic instruments in a right mix . Lyrics portray heroism and tries to convey some in-depth message.
5.Yaar Ivan(Chinmayee)
Chinmayee has given her best for the female version of the song , Chinmayee has showed her varying pitch with both the songs in the album.
6.Vethiye Potri(Sasi Kumar, Samuthirakani)
Sasi Kumar starts off with tributes to god and everything in this world something that brings the life to the track .Then the Slowly mixes with theme and finally the pace of the track moves on with Samuthirakani vocals and mantras. The trailer which was released along with this song received much appreciation.
Bottom Line :- Poraali- could have been better.Chinmayee and Shankar Mahadevan experienced singing saves Poraali.
