Jayaram's love for elephants is well known. He is the proud owner of a jumbo which is sent for temple festivals.
In two of his films, Pattabhishekam and Anachantham he played an elephant owner.
Now once again his love for the jumbos have made him sign M Padmakumar's (Shikar fame director), latest Thiruvambadi Thamban.
In the film, he will play the role of an elephant contractor who brings elephants from Bihar to Kerala.
Thiruvambadi Thamban is written by Suresh Babu and through Jayaram's character Thiruvambadi Mathan Tharakan he will bring out the problems faced by contractors who brings elephants to Kerala.
The film has Jagathy playing Jayaram's father and Nedumudi Venu playing his brother-in-law.
Thiruvambadi Thamban is being produced by Gini Cinema and pooja launch will be held in Kochi on November 12. Ouseppachan is the music director.
